Flatten Center Hat Seam

Cursor Icon SHARE A SHOP HACK

Structured hats often have a raised ridge along the front panel seam that can cause thread breaks during embroidery. By lightly tapping the inside seam with a plastic mallet, you flatten that ridge and create a smoother surface for stitching.

This simple step reduces stress on the needle and thread, cutting down on costly interruptions. It’s a quick prep trick that leads to cleaner runs and higher production efficiency.
