Maybe: Caller ID

Mock up of iPhone with unknown numbers displayed along with the text "Maybe: John Appleseed"

Increase your sales call answer rates with this simple trick: text your prospect before calling.

When you send a text introducing yourself or your company, many iPhones will store that information and later display your number as “Maybe [Your Name/Company]” when you call.

This happens because Apple’s caller ID system tries to associate unknown numbers with recent message content.

Instead of showing up as a random or spammy number, your call now looks familiar and intentional—dramatically boosting the chance they’ll pick up.
