Selective Discharge Colors

Cursor Icon SHARE A SHOP HACK

Some colors simply don’t discharge well, especially on fleece, and forcing them often leads to washed-out results or excessive troubleshooting. A practical workaround is to discharge only the colors that respond cleanly, then switch to high-solids acrylic for the problematic elements.

White is the most common offender on hoodies, and dropping in an HSA white screen at the end delivers the opacity and coverage discharge can’t achieve on that fabric type.

This hybrid method keeps the softness and vintage feel of discharge while ensuring key details stay bold.

Mixing techniques this way creates more predictable outcomes without locking you into a single ink system.
