Tape Curtain

Cursor Icon SHARE A SHOP HACK

One of the simplest ways to keep unwanted lint and stray threads out of your prints is by adding a “tape curtain” to your setup. This hack uses a strip of masking tape applied along the bottom edge of the base screen’s frame, with half of the tape secured to the frame and the sticky half hanging down. As the press indexes, the tape drags across each shirt loaded on the pallet, picking up lint, strings, and other debris before they can interfere with your ink deposit.

It’s a low-cost, no-fuss solution that works passively while the machine runs, reducing misprints and touch-ups caused by surface contamination. By letting the tape do the cleaning on every cycle, you ensure smoother, more consistent prints without adding any extra steps to your workflow.
