Windex Opens Screens

When a screen prints with a greasy or clear look after washout, it usually means residue is blocking the stencil and stopping ink from passing through. A quick fix is to spray a little Windex directly onto the affected area and wipe it clean. The cleaner breaks down the leftover film and opens the mesh back up, saving the screen and keeping production moving.
The root cause of that “greasy/clear” block is usually under-exposure. Bumping your exposure time slightly (for example, +5–10 seconds depending on your unit) helps prevent it entirely. Windex is a good in-a-pinch rescue for slight under-exposure haze, but the long-term fix is dialing in exposure and ensuring thorough stencil drying.
