Repetition is Key

In today’s world, we have information coming at us from all angles, non-stop. What you think may be common sense for your followers or customers, is probably not. Instead of dwelling on how aggravating it is to have to constantly repeat yourself, let’s focus on the bright side: this actually does make your life easier.

You don’t need to come up with endless ideas of what to post about - you need to market the same information, in different ways.

The first step is to nail down what messages YOU think will be most beneficial for YOUR screen print shop, and then get into the habit of advertising these messages on a regular basis.

(For those who enjoy the art and challenge of creating short form content - sure, go crazy with edits and pizazz. But this article is for the ones who want to rip their hair out when thinking of what to post. I promise you’re over thinking it!)

Once you’ve nailed down 3 messages to start with - for example: what services do you offer? Do you offer shipping? Do you have any sales resources available to send to clients if they’re interested in working with your shop? (The exact messages will depend on your shop’s goals.)

Then focus on learning / practicing how to post about these topics on a regular basis. Don’t feel like you have to get the topics “perfectly” right off the bat. Adjust as time goes on and you collect data & feedback on certain messages that seemed to help push the needle for your goals. For example: New leads, inquiries on a certain decoration type.

Of course you can get into the weeds when it comes to analytics per video, etc. But for the average shop, that’s overkill. When in doubt, promoting your shop regularly with your specific messages will build a solid foundation for your content & marketing efforts.

Just remember - you need to be shamelessly broadcasting the reasons people should be working with you! Your content is one drop in the bucket compared to all the digital info that gets consumed daily. And then someone who sees your info will probably forget by the time they drive home. Or it may not be the right time for them to order. You’ve got to swallow your pride, and repeat your messages in order to inform whoever reads / sees your posts, to sell to them when they see it, and to stay top of mind so that they end up (basically) memorizing your messages & feel confident that you’re the business they should work with.

Marketing is a long game, it’s all about planting seeds. It’s psychology. Showing consistency in your messaging will consciously or subconsciously act in your favor by showing you are a trustworthy business.

Small tweaks to your marketing strategy like this are what can help your shop gain a wee bit of edge in comparison to other shops who may not see the value in intentionally advertising about their shop.

I hope this helps 💖

P.S. Try not to get swept up with information about how to become a successful content creator, because marketing your existing business using content is NOT the same thing. Just remember what your specific goals are for your business 😊
